Runes are an ancient form of writing that was used thousands of years ago in the lands of northern Europe.

According to Viking tradition, the word rune means "whispered secret"...

The FUTHARK is divided into three sets of eight each as shown below:

The first is Fryer's Set.  It represents the principle of growth and unfolding.

The second is Hagel's Set.  It represents the elements and the dance between them.

The last is Tyre's Set.  Tyre was a Norse warrior who represents courage in the face of adversity.

Of note, Thursday is named in honor of this Norse warrior.
