There are seven separate examples here. Each example deals with getting data from the user and storing it in a simple text file. The examples start at the basics then lead up to creating a simple Guest Book using a basic text file. The examples are as follows:

  • Simple example of creating and writing to a text file on the server.
  • Another example of writing to a text file but now new information such as the system date and time are added.
  • An example of getting information about the client and storing it in a text file.
  • A simple Guest Book interface.
  • A simple Guest Book interface that writes user information to a text file on the server.
  • A simple Guest Book interface that writes user formatted information to a text file on the server and displays the result.
  • The final Guest Book which displays input and output separately.

This developer designs and implements applications that make use of XML and related technologies such as XML Schema, XSLT and XPath.
